This special class is perfect for both beginners and returning students. We’ll dive into the galaxy of Shibori, a Japanese tie-dye technique that transforms fabric through folding, twisting, binding, and shaping before dipping it in dyes to create incredible patterns .

Instead of traditional indigo, we’ll experiment with a beautiful range of natural dyes like: marigold, iron, madder, & cochineal. We’ll create patterns on cotton, silk, & linen.

No prior art experience is needed – just bring your curiosity and love for nature! 

$115 fee includes all materials. includes a variety of materials for exploration, plus one linen napkin & one silk scarf. Additional blank textiles will be available for purchase.
